From Trunkey Creek the run goes via Trunkey Road to Bathurst, then the Great Western Highway through Lithgow and the Blue Mountains, about 260 km and 3 hr 23 min to the terminals without stops.
Trunkey Creek sits at about 855 metres, below the coldest part of the plateau, though the run out can still cross frosty or foggy high country on a winter morning.

About 260 km and 3 hr 23 min by road.
Trunkey Creek is a small gold-rush village on the Bathurst–Goulburn road, with 118 residents at the 2021 census. Gold was found where the Abercrombie River meets Grove Creek in the early 1850s, and the 1879 police station and courthouse, the 1869 Golden Age Hotel and the original 1879 general store still stand. Fine merino wool has been the longer-lasting local industry.
Trunkey Creek is about 55 km by road south of Bathurst (roughly 40–45 minutes) in hilly pastoral country near Grove Creek, with the Abercrombie River catchment to the south.
Visit the Golden Age Hotel and Black Stump Hotel, the old courthouse and the gold-rush streetscape, and the Trunkey Creek Wool Festival and Horse Show held each October. Abercrombie Caves on Grove Creek are nearby, though the Bathurst Region listing currently shows them as closed, and the Grove Creek Observatory is not open to the public.
A taxi over 260 km runs on the meter with no set price, and few will come out to Trunkey Creek for a pre-dawn start. Public transport means a coach or drive to the nearest station, a train to Central and a change to the airport line with your luggage — and nothing gets you there for an early flight. Driving yourself means about 3 hr 23 min each way plus airport parking for every day you are away. See the full comparison.
Flying home? We meet you at the rideshare area inside the P7 car park at T1, or the Priority Pick-up area off the P1 walkway at T2 and T3, with free waiting of 60 minutes after an international landing and 40 after a domestic one — step-by-step pickup directions.
Family down the road or a friend on the way — we collect from more than one address on the same run, so everyone travels in one vehicle for one fixed fare. Add the extra stops when you book.
Each has its own page and published fares.
