NSW law, handled for you

The right restraint, correctly fitted.

In NSW every child under seven must travel in an approved restraint suited to their age and size — a rearward-facing capsule for babies under six months, a rear or forward-facing seat with an inbuilt harness from six months to four years, and a forward-facing seat or approved booster from four to seven. Children under four cannot sit in the front seat; four-to-seven-year-olds only when the rear seats are already taken by younger children.

We carry all of these and fit them ourselves, so you do not have to wrestle a capsule into a strange car at 4am. Tell us each child’s age and weight when you book and the right seat is installed and checked before we leave.

Child seats

Baby & child seat questions.

Do you really provide child seats for free?

Yes. Capsules, convertible harness seats and boosters for children aged 0–7 are carried and correctly fitted on every transfer at no extra charge — you do not pay per seat and you do not need to bring your own.

Which restraint does my child need?

It depends on age and size: a rearward-facing capsule for babies under six months, a rear or forward-facing seat with an inbuilt harness from six months to four years, and a forward-facing seat or approved booster from four to seven years. Tell us each child’s age and weight and we fit the right one.

Can I bring my own child seat?

Of course — if you would rather use a familiar seat we will fit and check it for you. Otherwise ours are ready to go, so most families travel light and use ours.

How many child seats can you fit at once?

A sedan or SUV takes up to three restraints across the back, and the people mover and minibus take more. List the children’s ages and weights when you book and we send a vehicle with the room and the right mix of restraints.
