The Bathurst–Sofala road (Sofala Road) is sealed. Pickups are normally from a street address in the village, such as off Denison Street, or from a property gate on the river roads.
From Sofala the run goes via Sofala Road to Bathurst, then the Great Western Highway through Lithgow and the Blue Mountains, about 241 km and 3 hr 8 min to the terminals without stops.
Neighbours can each book from their own page — the closest areas we cover are Wattle Flat, Crudine and Turondale.
About 241 km and 3 hr 8 min by road.
Sofala is a small historic village on the Turon River within Bathurst Regional Council, with a population of 111 at the 2021 census. It grew out of the 1851 Turon River gold rush and is often described as one of Australia’s oldest surviving gold-rush towns. Much of its 19th-century streetscape survives.
Sofala lies about 40 km north-east of Bathurst in a steep valley on the Turon River, roughly 50 km by road via Sofala Road. The surrounding country is rugged and timbered.
Walk Denison Street and its gold-era buildings, and try gold panning along the Turon River. Nearby Turon National Park offers bushwalking and camping.
A taxi over 241 km runs on the meter with no set price, and few will come out to Sofala for a pre-dawn start. Public transport means a coach or drive to the nearest station, a train to Central and a change to the airport line with your luggage — and nothing gets you there for an early flight. Driving yourself means about 3 hr 8 min each way plus airport parking for every day you are away. See the full comparison.
Flying home? We meet you at the rideshare area inside the P7 car park at T1, or the Priority Pick-up area off the P1 walkway at T2 and T3, with free waiting of 60 minutes after an international landing and 40 after a domestic one — step-by-step pickup directions.
Family down the road or a friend on the way — we collect from more than one address on the same run, so everyone travels in one vehicle for one fixed fare. Add the extra stops when you book.
Each has its own page and published fares.

Yes. Give us your street address or the property gate details when you book, and the transfer runs door to door from Sofala.
Sofala trips first run south to Bathurst and then take the usual route east. The Great Western Highway at Victoria Pass is closed until about mid-2027, so the Blue Mountains section is detoured via the Darling Causeway and Bells Line of Road. Allow for that when planning your flight.

We track the flight, so a delay simply moves your pickup at no extra charge. Free waiting counts from when the plane lands: 60 minutes for international arrivals at T1 and 40 minutes for domestic at T2 and T3. Keep your phone on — the driver messages you.
Payment is made in advance, by card or PayID, to confirm the booking and hold the vehicle. Give us at least 24 hours’ notice to change or cancel; inside 24 hours a cancellation fee applies.
